Over the weekend, I drove up north to spend the weekend with other family and to celebrate my uncle’s birthday. We were located in the Masurian Lake District, a part of Poland that is known for its 2,000+ lakes. The birthday celebration was held at a wonderful country club sat by the side of a lake called ‘Jezioro Dadaj’.
For the day, I wanted to go for a casual and comfy look. I have on my BDG blue jeans paired with a new black top I purchased in Poland during the Warsaw Fashion Street – a fashion event that was held the 25th and 26th of July and hosted various designers and boutiques from Poland. Excited to find unique pieces and support local designers, I pounced on the opportunity to buy some new original pieces to add to my wardrobe. Luckily, my wallet did not take too much of a hit (hehehe) and I bought this black staple shirt from Lemme, a boutique brand from Łódź, Poland (the 3rd largest city in Poland located in the center of the country). The top has a unique feel to it since its made up of 75% modal, a variety of rayon that is known for its softness and good drape. I also have on a pair of Biondini (Brazilian shoe designer) leather sandals, which have a light snake skin accent that is perfect to add some pattern to my outfit. Lastly, my black bag is a good day-to-day Calvin Klein bag that is a perfect size to carry everyday essentials!
As you may have noticed, I decided cut off a few inches of my hair 🙁 in order to get rid of all the damaged ends. While it’s a bit sad to not able to run my fingers through my long mane anymore, I’ll take solace in the fact that my hair takes only half the time to dry now. I also decided to allow my nails to grow in their natural state while I’m in Europe :(. And although I do feel like part of my soul is missing without my nails – a key feature of my day to day persona – I will likewise comfort myself with the thought that I am allowing my nails some off time to grow stronger.
